The newest trends in caping are found over on Instagram. We’ve done a deep dive on the social media platform to bring you our highlights of the scene. There are some fantastic new things coming out and our research show that the best is yet to come. Here are our top five vape picks for the month of May 2018.
The UK has always been a hotbed for the vaping scene. It’s lively and that’s likely due to two major factors.
1. They’ve accepted vapor culture more than most any country.
2. The lag history of smoking in the country needs to be rectified.
The vast majority of countries that vape have a strained relationship with vaping but Britain has taken the scene by storm. It seems like whenever I stumble upon some intriguing new vape technology it stems from the UK. Thus, Cleanbuilds has some of the best vape content right now.
The wormhole of Instagram led me to the next obsession we have with proper wicking and maintenance of your build.
They have enough eye candy on their Instagram to spend an unhealthy amount of time salivating over their product. To give you a quick rundown here’s the scoop:
Cotton Bacon is created by Wick n Vape out of Boise, Idaho. The main concern of the company is to deliver wick that is made for vapes by vapes. Sounds simple enough. However, simply deciding that cotton was the ultimate medium wasn’t enough for these guys. They’ve experimented with medical grade cottons, even worked with boiling down cotton balls, to produce a product with the best wicking characteristics. This is the way to go for a mash coil vape. I’d be surprised if they weren’t taking apart old oil lamps from the 1800s and studying those wicks too.
The product is superior and is made in a great craft environment. You're not going to want a cotton bacon clone. Check out their schtick when you have a moment, and give their Instagram a follow. This is great stuff if you're looking to get the most out of your vape.
Saveur Vape is another brand that got me curious just by seeing photos by them or by users. It’s a funny time we live in when one can simply type #vape and learn about a fantastic company creating some impressive gear. Their Arsenal consists of many wares, but what struck me most was their e-liquid. The Met4 line, in particular, has some impressive looking bottles and tinctures.
A bit more research shows that the team behind @CleanBuilds, MET4 launched in 2015 with a very specific mission. They wanted to create premium e-liquids for builders, casual vapers, and everyone in -between. It makes sense then that the descriptions of the products are passionately written. It would seem that they really care about how other vapers find their e-liquids.
Next on the journey is Crooms_Tlc on Instagram. This guy shares his vape passion with great cloud blowing videos with great music in the background. It's worth checking out if you're interested in vape tricks. He has twenty-three thousand followers, so you know that this is not the amateur hour.
This guy has the power of vape on his side. I really recommend giving him a follow, check him building his own mods and expressing some high art on the devices he prepares.
Moving on to the next obsession.
From there I found One Hit Wonder E-liquid. This one is out of Los Angeles, and it is worth saying that the name is fantastic. Seriously, what a fantastic branding choice there. Speaking of double meaning, this e-liquid is packaged with some fantastic art and if it tastes anything like it looks, think we're going to go hard on the quality.
Not only is the branding on point but if you give them a follow it's likely that you're going to see some fantastic content updated regularly. After all, the fact that they're based in LA means that they have to stay on top of a saturated market. It's always great to see what ingenuity these kinds of companies have.
That wraps up this edition of the Vape scene. If you like what you saw give it a share and be sure to let us know about your newest vaping obsessions in the comments. See you next time.
